ART (Active Release Technique)
ART identifies abnormal tissues through hands on evaluation and helps to restore normal movement between the different soft tissue structures of the body. The technique uses active movement by the client. Active motion stimulates neurological pathways in the spinal cord to help reduce pain during treatment. Motion helps to reproduce the stresses the patient will actually be under during normal activity.
Sports Massage (The Kinetic Chain Way)
Used before and after an athletic event to prepare athlete for peak performance as well as drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and prevent injuries.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to reach deeper portions of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers
AIS ( Active Isolated Stretching)
This Aaron Mattes Method is a manual technique that isolates muscles that are to be stretched by contracting the opposing muscles. The success of this method is based on Sherrington's Law of reciprocal inhibition and muscle contraction. When a muscle on one side of a joint is contracted, the muscle on the opposite side sends a neurological signal to relax or release. It is a slow and controlled rhythmic stretch of no greater than two seconds. We find this form of stretching compliments the other modalities used at Kinetic Chain.
